En swahili, langue parlée dans 14 pays d’Afrique, Malkia signifie reine. Pas surprenant que Zympala ait choisi de nommer un vêtement en l’honneur de cette appellation qui symbolise courage, combativité et lutte des femmes.

Queen Nzinga In Swahili, a language spoken in 14 countries in Africa, Malkia means queen. No wonder Zympala has chosen this name which symbolizes the bravery, militancy and struggle of women.Among the inspiring queens of Africa, Ana Nzinga is known for her beauty and her political, military and diplomatic skills. The story goes that she was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, predestining a noble life and that her father, an important king, authorized her to assist him in ruling the kingdom. In line with its historical elements, note the Malkia dress's collar, formed by overlapping bias strips.

The Malkia Dress evokes royalty as its name– Swahili for “queen”– suggests. It is straight, with a central opening in the back and extends to the knees. Its bodice has three pleats at the neckline topped by five bias forming a Mandarin collar, enhancing the neck and evoking  the beauty of queens and African women. A cloth belt integrated into the dress is also trimmed with five bias strips. Open pleats at the waist replace the darts.

It is available in yellow, orange and black.
